“I think it did help him,” Darrell Johnson informed CNN’s Don Lemon on Monday. “I don’t believe the emotions were going so high, however he was being himself.”
Kelly, who in February was charged with 10 counts of worsened criminal sexual abuse involving 4 individuals, sat down with King earlier this month for a nearly 80- minute conversation on the accusations. All however one specific were under age 17 throughout the alleged events, which took place between 1998 and 2010.
Kelly was nothing brief of hysterical in his emphatic defense against allegations that he had held females versus their will in a sex cult.
“If I was facing  years in the state penitentiary, I’m not going to say I would act like that,” Johnson said. “But I indicate, how do you act when you’re going to spend the rest of your life in jail? I thought it was a real moment.”
On Sunday, Pennsylvania male Gary Dennis claimed he had discovered a tape of Kelly sexually abusing ladies. His attorney, Gloria Allred, stated Dennis didn’t understand how the tape had come to be in his ownership and that it had been handed over to the U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace for the Eastern District of New York.
Lawyer Michael Avenatti said last month that he had videos allegedly proving Kelly devoting sexual attack. He said he had provided them to prosecutors.
Johnson recommended the accusations aren’t worth much, regardless of the alleged videos and the Lifetime docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly,” in which women recount dreadful stories about the singer.
“I’m not calling anyone a liar,” he stated. “What I would state to those individuals who have brought the facts to your attorneys: Present your facts and Mr. Kelly will have his day in court.”
